The AH-64 is an attack helicopter developed in the United States since the 1970s, as a successor to the AH-1 Cobra. The AH-64D, nicknamed the Apache Longbow, is an improved version of the AH-64A, including a replaced engine and the overall improvement of electronic equipment. The Netherlands Air Force began introducing 30 of this aircraft in 1998, and currently operates 29 of them.
